scales2music.com is an online, highly focused, site for learning and perfecting the art of the guitar. It especially has a focus of turning your scales into music! Not just any music; but the music you feel. The music you love. The music you want to hear!

Our instructors have a combined musical experience of 48 years. All of which is specifically related to the guitar and general music theory. We want to allow you to flow even more in improvisation, learn songs faster, get a greater grip of general music theory and learn everything that will take you exactly where you want to be musically. Everything you need to make your dreams and vision come alive on the guitar.

We have a 3-pronged teaching approach here. Question, Guidance and Focus. We answer the questions you have along the learning path you are taking. Guidance. We direct you in the next directions to take for optimum learning. And focus. We teach you what you want to learn! If you don't want to learn twinkle, twinkle, little star - we won't teach it to you. (A bit of free advice) Learning simple songs does not make it easier to progress. You might as well slowly learn something you would like even if it's a bit more complex. You still need to get those fingers moving with control exactly the same way.

 

I mean, you may learn 'twinkle, twinkle' a little quicker than the intro to Voodoo Child, but, in the end, you didn't even want to learn twinkle anyway and you'll just forget it. This a massive oversight many teachers have, they just waste your time, all so you can keep coming back to pay them money! There are thousands of small tricks like this bad teachers get you to follow just to keep you coming back week to week! As Tommy Emanuel said, paraphrasing, "When you are learning a song, only play that song and nothing else!" Their bad way of teaching has you learning two things - a direct contradiction to one of the best in the world- Tommy!

At scales2music.com we have two instructors, Jason and David. Jason specialises in Lead Guitar and David concentrates on Rhythm Guitar. In the members forum, you can ask either of them questions, get feedback, ask general musical questions, investigate your style and get guidance in making your music more how you would like it to be.

Check out some examples of our music on the 'TEACHER MUSIC' page. The music you will hear is complete improvisation, sometimes based around songs, sometimes our own creations. The music show cases the wide variety of musical styles we can teach and also that our understanding of the musical process allows us to give you REAL advice on your playing. We don't say, more emotion, we say, exactly how to reproduce the sounds we are achieving.
